Job Vacancy: Forklift VNA & CB Driver (Nights)

Location: McCarthy Distribution Ltd, 2 Elm Point, Abbey Road North, Wrexham Industrial Estate, LL13 9UE

Salary: £30,940 per annum (paid weekly) + shift allowance + bonuses

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Shift Pattern: Nights (Shift timings: 9PM – 6 AM)

We are currently seeking a reliable and skilled Forklift VNA (Very Narrow Aisle) & CB (Counterbalance) Driver to join our team for night shifts at our warehouse/distribution facility. As a key member of our warehouse team, you will be responsible for safely operating the VNA and CB forklifts to ensure the efficient movement of stock within the warehouse.

Your working week will be 45 hours a week, Monday to Friday 21:00 – 06.00 with 30 minutes unpaid lunch break each day. The position will report to the Depot Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate VNA & CB forklifts to transport goods around the warehouse
  • Load and unload deliveries, ensuring accuracy of items received and dispatched
  • Organize and manage inventory in line with operational requirements
  • Follow strict health and safety guidelines at all times
  • Support with stock replenishment, order picking, and storing products
  • Perform regular safety checks and maintenance on forklift equipment
  • Keep the warehouse area clean, organized, and free from hazards

Requirements:

  • Valid VNA and CB forklift certification (essential).
  • Proven experience in operating VNA and CB forklifts in a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work night shifts
  • A commitment to health, safety, and quality standards
  • Good communication skills.
