Position: Trainee Tube Bending Technician.

About the Role: We are looking for a motivated individual with a keen interest in metalworking to join our manufacturing team. This entry-level position offers comprehensive training and development opportunities to master tube bending techniques using our automated CNC tube bending machine.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and set up the BLM Elect 52 machine for tube bending.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Assist in bending tubes to meet specifications and quality standards.
  • Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area.

Essential Criteria:

  • A Levels or equivalent.
  • Mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively.
  • GCSE Maths (minimum B) for measurements and calculations.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Adaptability to new technologies and machinery.
  • Problem-solving skills for troubleshooting during the bending process.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing or metalworking.

Training and Development:

  • On-the-job training provided.
  • Opportunities for skill development and career advancement.
  • Continuous learning in tube bending techniques.

Schedule:

  • 2 shift pattern: Monday to Thursday, day shift 7am – 5pm and evening shift 4.45pm – 3am.
  • Current role is for day shift, but flexibility for rotating shifts is required.
  • Overtime available at 1.5x rate on Fridays and Saturdays.
