Business and I.T Teacher Key Stage 3 and 4

Job Description

We are seeking to appoint an excellent full-time teacher of Business and Computer Science who can demonstrate that they have the skills, experience, qualifications and abilities to make a significant contribution to raising achievement at Mayville High School. This position would suit an experienced teacher as well as an NQT.

The successful applicant will:

· Be a well qualified, talented classroom teacher with QTS ;

.Teach from year 7 to year 11 upto GSCE Standard

· Have excellent communication skills;

· Have excellent organisational skills;

· Have thorough subject knowledge and be able to inspire a love of learning;

· Demonstrate a commitment to their own learning with evidence of further studies;

· Be committed to working and learning in a collaborative, innovative team with high standards committed to raising expectations and achievement of all pupils;

· Have up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance in relation to working with, and the protection of, children and young people;

· Displays commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children and young people;

· Be willing to take on additional responsibilities within the department;

General Responsibilities

· Teach pupils principally in your own subject across the age and ability range and in accordance with agreed schemes of learning and assessment for learning, recording and reporting procedures;

· Share responsibility for ensuring the safety, well-being and discipline of all the pupils at the school;

· Adhere to all school policies and procedures as laid out in the Staff Handbook.

· participate in the development of appropriate materials and schemes of learning within your department and in co-operation with colleagues;

· Carry out a share of supervisory duties (break duty and exam invigilation for example) in accordance with agreed rotas;

· Participate in appropriate meetings with parents and colleagues relating to all aspects of your work as a teacher at Mayville High School;

· Carry out other duties as reasonably required by the Headteacher.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £27,500.00-£37,000.00 per year
