Careers Advisor

Matrix Academy Trust

Based Across: Bloxwich Academy and Wednesfield Academy.

37 Hours | All Year Round | Monday to Friday

Start Date: January 2025

Salary: £30,580

The role:

We are looking for an exceptional Careers Advisor to provide careers education, advice, and guidance to students across the trust. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in fostering motivation, aspiration, and achievement, ensuring students make informed decisions about their futures. This role will be based working across two of our Academies Bloxwich Academy and Wednesfield Academy.

As part of the role the successful candidate will be work 1-1 with pupils and students including recording and monitoring outcomes and progression. The Careers Advisor will work closely with key staff in the Academies and also liaise with external providers and other agencies.

Your skillset will include:

  • QCF Level 6 Diploma in Career Guidance and Development;
  • Experience of working with young people with a range of needs;
  • Awareness and understanding of the full range of options post Year 9, 11 and 13;
  • Be able to competently use IT packages and careers related software e.g. National Careers Website Service, Prospect AC.
