Job Title: Test Technician
Location: Titchfield, Hampshire
Salary: £14.05 per hour
Work Opportunity: PAYE Contract


Introduction

We are proud to support Eaton Ltd, a leading aerospace client specialising in high-performance hydraulic pumps, motors, and electrical components for flight control systems, to help them hire an experienced Test Technician for their local team. As a Test Technician, you’ll play a key role in making sure that hydraulic motors and pumps meet strict standards for both civilian and military applications.

What will I be doing?

  • You’ll be responsible for mounting and removing hydraulic components on the test stands. This involves carefully placing and securing the parts for testing.
  • Following detailed test specifications and operate specialized test control panels.
  • Recording all test performance parameters accurately.
  • Completing documentation both manually and electronically.
  • Checking product integrity and maintaining quality standards.


What do I need to succeed?

You will have a good understanding of hydraulic systems. You will also have:

  • Hands-on experience testing hydro/mechanical products.
  • Experience in the aerospace industry or with the MOD is a definite plus.
  • Familiarity with rotating electrical machines, like motors and generators.
  • Comfortable with computers and Lean manufacturing methods, such as 5S and TPM.

Laboratory Test Technician

Up to £28,000 + Annual Bonus + Excellent Benefits (Pension, health, holidays…etc)

We have an excellent opportunity for a Laboratory Test and Calibration Technician to join a world leading engineering company specialised in developing products for the pharmaceutical and medical industries.

The laboratory Test technician will working within the Engineering Department by assisting with test set up, creating appropriate test documentations, calibrating equipment, and maintaining the laboratory area on a day-to-day basis. This position requires an individual who works well in a team setting and as an independently motivated contributor to ensure projects are accomplished with exceptional quality and on time.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists team members by preparing laboratory tests using correct equipment, materials, and approved processes.
  • Assists with compiling, analysing, and documenting results.
  • Responsible for capturing test data
  • Responsible for the cleanliness and day to day maintenance of the laboratory area
  • Responsible for maintaining of the Laboratory Inventory Database
  • Responsible for the in-house calibration of all the equipment within the laboratory and maintenance of external calibration schedules and evaluation of results.
  • Assists the Laboratory Manager with business continuous improvement projects as required.
  • Supports the Laboratory Manager with the maintenance of the ISO17025 accreditation
  • Contributes to the continuous improvement of the ISO17025
  • Supporting role in relevant audits
  • Actively supports the company’s Quality Objectives and contributes to Quality Management System activities as assigned.

Experience and Skills Required

  • Ideally experience as a test, calibration or laboratory technician
  • Experience in an ISO17025 accredited laboratory environment would be an advantage however not essential
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office software packages.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills. Must be able to operate in a fast-paced organization and handle multiple projects simultaneously within set timeframes.
  • Ability to follow procedures and methods and work well on a self-directed team. Must be computer literate with good communication and time management skills.
  • Must be able to interact effectively and diplomatically with all company personnel under minimum supervision and be responsive to the requirements of department members and other departments with whom interaction is necessary.
