As a Front of House Team Member, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Your role is crucial in creating a positive dining experience, where you will engage with customers, assist them with their needs, and support the kitchen team in food preparation. This position requires a blend of culinary knowledge and excellent interpersonal skills to enhance customer satisfaction.

Duties

• Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a friendly and inviting atmosphere.
• Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, demonstrating upselling techniques to enhance their dining experience.
• Assist in food preparation, ensuring adherence to food safety standards and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area.
• Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of meals.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism, providing solutions to enhance their experience.
• Maintain an organised front of house area, ensuring all equipment is clean and ready for use.

Skills

• Strong culinary knowledge with an understanding of food safety practices.
• Experience in a restaurant environment is preferred but not essential.
• Excellent upselling skills to promote menu items effectively.
• Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing orders accurately.
• Effective time management skills to prioritise tasks during busy periods.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being proactive in assisting customers.
• A genuine desire to help others and provide outstanding customer service.
