Job description

This is a Full-Time post.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining data with regards to suppliers, contracts and purchase orders on the Procurement Database System/Shared Services and other systems.
  • Ensure data information is recorded accurately on the Procurement database system with relevant documentary evidence
  • Administration duties for all corporate contracts which include Electronic Procurement Card Solution, Travel, Car hire, Stationery and Venue hire e.g. submit new applications for Electronic Procurement Card Solution, create new profiles for all corporate contracts, approve stationery orders
  • Escalate and monitor reported issues regarding the corporate contracts
  • Provide clerical, administrative and support services to the Corporate Contracts Category Lead
  • Provide good customer service with key stakeholders.

About You

To be successful as the Procurement Support Officer, you will have:

  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and issue resolution.
  • Proficient inter-personal skills to include verbal and written communication.
  • Able to build working relationships with colleagues at all levels.
  • Experienced in the use of Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Word and Teams.


Additional Information

This role will be based in the Southampton HQ (or relevant office). MCA supports flexible working and operates a hybrid working model between home and office for this role, giving you greater flexibility over where and when you work.

The expectation is that you will spend a minimum 60% of your working time based at your principal workplace or out on official business. Details of the arrangement will be discussed further with your line manager.

There may be a requirement for occasional travel on official duty within the UK, which may involve overnight stays. Notice will be given prior to travel.
