Hygiene Team Member

Job Description

Hours:

2-shift pattern, 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm, alternating weekly, Monday to Friday.

Reporting to:

Hygiene Supervisor/Production Supervisors

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Toilets/Restrooms

Clean and disinfect sinks, countertops, toilets, mirrors, floors, etc. Replenish bathroom supplies. Polish metalwork, such as fixtures and fittings. Remove rubbish.

Floors

Sweep, mop, vacuum, floors using brooms, mops and vacuum cleaners. Other floor work may be required such as: scrubbing, waxing and polishing floors. Remove rubbish.

Canteen/kitchen facilities

Clean and disinfect sinks, countertops, tables, chairs, refrigerators, etc. Replenish disposable supplies. Remove rubbish.

Offices/Reception/Training rooms and general areas

Dust furniture, equipment, partitions, etc. Empty wastebaskets and recyclables and transport to disposal area. Clean rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture, using vacuum cleaner. Wash walls and woodwork. Wash windows, door panels, partitions, sills etc.

Factory

Clean all factory areas and machines as directed by your Team Leader/Hygiene Supervisor. This includes external areas.

Hygiene team members must comply with safety policies and procedures as required (i.e. when using cleaning chemicals, working at height, reporting incidents, etc).

Hygiene Team members must be able to determine the neatness, accuracy and thoroughness of the work assigned and must work to the expected standard.

Hygiene team members are required to use cleaning equipment, including motorised equipment and steam cleaners as well as access equipment including stepladders and trolley ladders as required in order to carry out their duties.

Hygiene Team members are required to wear PPE which is provided for the tasks assigned.

Work Instructions for each task must be followed and, where required, records kept of cleaning completed.

Hygiene Team Members are required to work in a safe and responsible manner at all times.

Other duties as required for the operation of the business.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £11.90 per hour
