Job Description

Manpower are currently looking to recruit a Machine Operative for one of our clients based close to North Thoresby.

This role is working on 12-hour shifts, spread across mid-week. Once you are fully trained you will then move onto a shift pattern (which will include both days and nights) and a permanent position after a successful 12-week probationary period.

You will be responsible for manufacturing high-quality plastic products, operate machinery, follow production schedules, conduct quality control checks and maintain production documentation with extra hours on offer for the right candidate.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment is essential
  • Candidates who hold their FLT/ Counterbalance licence are preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and time-management skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50lbs unassisted
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred

Machine Operative – Bridgwater – £12.30p/h

  • Rotating day shift Monday – Friday 6am – 2.15pm when on mornings and 2.00pm to 10.15pm when on the afternoon shift (37.5hrs)

My client is leading FMCG manufacturer based on the outskirts of Bridgwater. They are looking to recruit a permanent Machine Operative to join their team at their modern manufacturing site.

Main duties of the successful Production Operative will be:

  • Running of the production machines
  • Operating, monitoring, controlling and cleaning all plant and associated equipment
  • Mixing formulations that are used in the manufacturing process

The successful Machine operator must:

  • Have previous machine operating experience
  • Be able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Must ideally have previous Production experience, ideally in an FMCG, Food, Drink, Pharma environment

Duties:

  • Manual handling large plastic moulds up to 30kg
  • Loading and unloading moulds into Mac3 mould machine
  • Changing mould plates using hand tools
  • Trimming excess plastic from completed moulds
  • Checking mould for defects
  • Reporting any production issues to Supervisor,
  • Keeping working area clean and tidy
  • Always adhering to health and safety

Skills/Experience

  • Mechanically minded.
  • Background use of hand tools
  • Knowledge of operating CNC machines
  • Able to work in a team environment.

Hours of Work: Rotating Shift

  • Dayshift, Mon – Thurs 05:45 – 13:45, Fri 05:45 – 11:15
  • Afternoon, Mon – Thurs 13:45 – 21:45, Fri 11:15 –16:45

Rate of Pay:

  • £11.44
  • Overtime after 40hrs £13.85 – £20.84ph

Job Description

Our client is seeking for a Fulfilment Operative.

The Fulfilment Operative will work alongside the manufacturing team to pack manufactured goods according to customer requirements. This role is essential to ensuring our products are delivered with the highest quality and accuracy, maintaining our reputation for excellence.

Ongoing the role will involve training to fully understand operation of machinery.

Duties and responsibilities may include:

General:

  • Stock check raw materials used in the manufacturing process when needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized working environment.
  • Ensure raw materials and finished goods are stored appropriately.
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure that order deadlines are met.

Quality Control:

  • Maintain all daily records.
  • Highlight any product quality issues.
  • Contribute to Continuous Improvement Practises
  • Follow ISO procedures

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a fulfilment or packing role preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of health and safety practices.
  • Physically fit and able to lift and move packages.
  • Ability to operate packing machinery and equipment (training will be provided).

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift (6:30am until 2:30pm – Holiday cover for the late shift as required 12:00 until 8:00pm).
  • Day shift.
  • Monday to Friday.

Salary to start: £25,400/year-potential increase to £28,000 if performing up to the required standard.
