Vacancy for Wrap Around Care Manager

Salary: Meridian Trust Grade 7, Point 12-19 £12,616.86-£14,144.85

Hours: 20 hours per week, 38 weeks per year (term time only)

Working Pattern: Monday-Friday, 07:30-08:45am (Breakfast Club) and 15:00pm-17:45pm (After school club).

You will be responsible for Breakfast Club and After School Club. You will either work both sessions or just After School Club.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Wrap Around Care Manager to join our friendly team in our wrap-around provision at West Town Primary Academy!

You will be responsible for the management and administration of Wrap Around Care and lead an effective childcare provision which provides safe, high-quality care and play opportunities. You will believe in the inclusion and acceptance of all and understand the importance of children having down time in a safe space. The development of positive working relationships with other wrap-around staff, school staff, parents/carers will be an essential aspect of the role, as will a secure knowledge of safeguarding and health and safety.

The ideal candidate:

  • GCSE English and Maths or equivalent
  • NVQ 3/Level 3 in childcare of equivalent qualification
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an Early Years setting.
  • Is friendly, enthusiastic and has a positive outlook and approach to work.
  • Will possess outstanding communication skills and can work well in a team.
  • A thorough understanding of child protection and safeguarding issues.

About West Town Primary Academy –

West Town Primary Academy is a culturally rich city Academy, with high aspirations for all our children. Since opening as an Academy, West Town Primary has restructured its teaching team to provide smaller class sizes for many of our children, which enables a greater amount of quality first teaching to take place. We are fortunate enough to have a team of good and outstanding teachers who through bespoke in-house training are helping to develop the next generation of teachers in partnership with our Meridian Trust teaching school.
