Job title: Business Development Officer

Location: Maidenhead, Berkshire

The Malloy Aeronautics Team:

Malloy Aeronautics Limited specializes in the development of heavy lift unmanned air vehicles (UAVs) for both civilian and military uses. Located in Berkshire, our operations are notable for their focus on in-house design and manufacturing. This vertical integration means we control the production of most aircraft components on-site, enhancing our ability to innovate and maintain high standards across all stages of development.

About The Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated, goal-oriented individual with a proven track record in market analysis and business development. The ideal candidate will be an individual with good communication skills, incredible attention to detail and passionate about technology who can work with any member of the team to achieve the objectives.

You should be capable of dissecting customer problems and working with all stakeholders (internal and external) to create innovative solutions which truly make a difference. You should also have exceptional networking, organisational and time management skills.

Ability to hold Security Clearance – 5 years residence in the UK

What you’ll being doing:

· You’ll work closely with the Business Development Manager and Directors of the company to align activities with organisational goals.

· Identify and research new business opportunities, competitors and trends.

· Execute go-to-market plans and generate new leads.

· Engage with customers/clients through meetings or calls.

· Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.

· Understand and address customer needs with tailored plans.

· Lead and support bid-writing for new opportunities.

· Have in-depth knowledge of the business’s products/services and communicate effectively.

· Support marketing by doing targeted online promotion and attending events.

· Assist in planning sales campaigns and building a sales pipeline.

Essential Skills and Experiences:

· Degree in Business Administration or Engineering.

· Experience with market analysis and data analytics.

· Proficient with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

· Demonstrable negotiation and problem-solving skills.

· Efficient in time management and multitasking.

· Years of demonstrable experience in a similar BD role.

· Experience in defence procurement.

· Marketing experience.

· Project Management experience.

Desired Skills and Experiences:

· UAV or UAS experience

· Defence and aviation experience
