About the role

The Client Acquisition Director is a member of the New Business Team working under the direction of the Head of New Business to secure new customers to Maintel. The purpose of this role is to generate and maintain a closable pipeline of new logo clients to Maintel.

What will you do?

  • Generate sustainable pipeline comprising of New Logo clients.
  • Hit in year agreed KPI’s.
  • Develop and grow working relationships with identified Key Vendors internal Sales teams.
  • Develop and grow working relationships with key external influencers.
  • Develop and grow working relationships with Internal peers including the Marketing and Bid Teams.
  • Develop a clear understanding of the Why Maintel message both generically and across the three technology pillars, in-line with overall business objectives.
  • Attend customer meetings.
  • Assess and research the suitability of potential leads allocated from any source and present your acquisition plan to the Head of Logo Acquisition prior to pursuing.
  • Assess and research the suitability of potential New Logos and present Short-, Mid- and Long-term acquisition plans to the Head of Logo Acquisition prior to pursuing.
  • Maintain accurate records using Salesforce and Sales loft for forecasting purposes to facilitate on-target revenue generation.
  • Ownership of internal and external events, working in partnership with internal and external marketing teams.

What are we looking for?

As a successful Client Acquisition Director, you will have demonstrable experience in a target-oriented New Business role with proven track record success in acquiring new logo business working successfully to engage Business Owners and C-Level executives, developing effective strategies in the moment. You will also need to have:

  • Good general knowledge of the communications industry focusing on one or more of UCaaS, CCaaS, Secure Connectivity.
  • An ability to demonstrate a clear understanding of new logo acquisition and sales cycles.
  • An ability to maintain a high level of self-motivation and work with minimum supervision.
  • Effective communications skills both verbal and written (with a focus on competitive positioning).
  • A clear and confident presentation style.
  • A charismatic and engaging manner with an ability to create rapport with and influence key decision makers.
  • Familiarity with procurement frameworks, for both public and private sector with the ability to lead, and produce first class bid and tender responses in partnership with bid teams.
  • An ability to form excellent working relationships with key external resources from the first point of contact.•Good knowledge of Microsoft Office in particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Commercial awareness and an understanding how to adapt and tailor your style to different people and audiences.
  • Demonstrate opportunity generation by working with internal and external SDR teams.
  • The ability to negotiate complex contracts to a satisfactory conclusion.
