Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Leisure and Spa Manager to oversee and enhance our leisure and spa facilities and services. The ideal candidate will have a passion for promoting recreational activities and ensuring a high-quality experience for all guests This role requires strong leadership skills, exceptional organisational abilities, and a customer-focused mindset to effectively manage daily operations and drive engagement within the community.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement leisure programmes that cater to diverse interests and age groups.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of leisure and spa facilities, ensuring they are well-maintained and welcoming.
  • Manage staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Utilise strong sales management techniques to promote leisure activities, spa treatments, spa retail and increase participation.
  • Maintain effective communication with customers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Conduct regular assessments of programmes and facilities to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with local organisations to promote community events and partnerships.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within all leisure activities.
  • Prepare reports on facility usage, customer feedback, and financial performance.
  • Manage customer feedback effectively to ensure continuous service and programme improvement
  • Instil brand values and standards to maintain quality on a daily basis
  • Liaise with other hotel departments
  • Ensure customers and guests receive friendly and consistent personalised service from all team members
  • Recruit, manage, train and develop the team
  • Positive working relationships to be established and maintained with colleagues throughout the hotel
  • Achieve the Leisure Clubs annual budget and be accountable for maintaining and operating within financial targets
  • Perform Duty Manager duties as required
  • Ensure health, safety and COSHH regulations are complied with and club rules are observed by members, clients and guests
  • Responsible for the overall management and performance of the Spa, ensuring high standards of professionalism, customer service and optimum financial performance
  • Produce a monthly sales plan and execute special promotions to maximise daily revenue

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a managerial role within the leisure and spa sector is required.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills for effective communication with customers and staff.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Proficiency in administrative tasks including scheduling, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Multilingual abilities are advantageous for engaging with a diverse clientele.
  • Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
