STRAIGHT SHIFTS WORKING FRONT OF HOUSE WITH THE RECEPTION TEAM WELCOMING AND ASSISTING OUR GUESTS STAYING AT THE HOTEL.

Our Hotel Porters are hardworking individuals who can work on their own initiative and are key players in our Guest Service teams.
They may have experience of working in a similar position within a 4 star hotel. However, we are able to train individuals with quality customer service experience, who are able to display a willingness to learn and a commitment to helping us to deliver our core standards and provide our guests with a great stay every time.
This position will include shifts working Saturday and/ or Sunday. Additional hours may be required to support the hotel during our busier periods including bank holidays.
· To ensure that all interactions with guests are positive and a first / last impression is given of the hotel
· To undertake all duties within the department including the car park, porter tasks and luggage porters, to make sure the department runs smoothly.
· To keep all work areas tidy at all times
· To be aware of daily events taking place in the hotel at all times to allow you to answer any queries from guests
· To take responsibility for guest luggage, making sure it is stored correctly, and it is correctly labelled and delivered to rooms.
· To have a good knowledge of the local area, including attractions, transportation systems, theatre, tourist sights, sporting activities, shops and restaurants.
· To log parcels in the hotel, maintain correct record of parcels and packages and deliver messages and packages to all guests or departments within the hotel within the correct time scale and procedure.
· To demonstrate a good working knowledge of in-room services to allow this to be shared with guests.
· To demonstrate good computer knowledge and understand how to work Opera and internet along with the room key card system.
· To carry out a clear and precise handover on every shift.
· To keep all information up to date and source information that will aid the concierge department
