Hardware Trade Counter Assistant

MP Moran Builders Merchant is thrilled to announce the opening of our new Tottenham store in March 2025. This is an exciting opportunity for a Hardware Trade Counter Assistant to join this branch where we offer a range of building supplies.

As a Hardware Trade Counter Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing expert advice, processing transactions, and ensuring the smooth operation of the trade counter.

Requirements :

• Working 48.5 hours per week, shifts between 6am-5pm Monday-Friday, and alternate weekends.
• Excellent customer service
• Knowledge of hardware and building materials is desired
• Good interpersonal skills, confident and able to approach customers.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a busy team.
• The ability to prioritise responsibilities under pressure and be self-motivated.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist our customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Assisting with deliveries in and out of the store
• Dealing with any telephone queries effectively and communicating with customers and colleagues
• Ordering goods
• Respond positively and effectively to customer’s needs.
• Assist in the company stock counts.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
