We undertake projects ranging from £100,000 to £60,000,000 in value for both public and private sector clients across a wide range of sectors as well as boasting a thriving waste management business expanding across the Southwest and Wales.

We are looking to recruit a ‘Labour Hire Desk Controller’ on a full time permanent basis located at our depot based just outside of Chippenham Wiltshire.
Main Responsibilities
As we are the ‘in-house labour and recruitment agency ‘Oakbourne’ you will be the first point of call to supply all lives schemes with labour and plant operatives to the business.
· Taking all hire enquiries via telephone, email.
· Source labour, plant operators and additional staff to service both civil engineering and major projects located in various locations across the UK
· Liaise with site managers and teams to ensure that the correct resource are present as site have arranged and requested.
· Source replacements/additional resource from data base.
· Dealing with site queries.
· Being professional and polite.
· Communicating effectively with other colleagues and providing a helpful and friendly point of contact for all site/department enquiries.
· Maintaining health and safety standards within the hire office.
Essential Skills
- Previous experience in plant hire desk or labour recruitment is essential
- Attention to detail when processing information into our hire system.
- Communicate effectively with team members and site managers, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth operations within the office and on-site.
- Timekeeping and using your initiative are very important in all aspects of the role.
- Work well under pressure.
- Perform data entry.
- Support administrative functions as required, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently.
Qualifications
- Proficient in excel
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience in data entry.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and task management.

Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
