Position Overview:
SCV Waste Solutions is on the hunt for a passionate, energetic, and results-driven Sales & Account Manager to join our awesome team in beautiful Armstrong, BC! In this role, you’ll be the go-to person for managing client relationships, rocking both inside and outside sales, handling contracts, and supporting exciting marketing initiatives. You’ll be the primary point of contact for our clients, ensuring their needs are not just met but exceeded every time. Key Responsibilities:
Relationship Management:
- Serve as the lead point of contact for assigned customers, developing and maintaining strong, lasting relationships.
- Conduct regular check-ins to ensure customer satisfaction and identify opportunities for additional services.
- Collaborate with internal departments to provide exceptional service and solutions to clients.
- Address escalated customer concerns, working closely with team members to resolve issues while keeping clients informed.
- Report and collaborate on solutions to prevent customer dissatisfaction and improve long-term retention.
- Escalate recurring concerns to the Business Development Manager for timely resolution.
- Document escalated issues and their resolutions for tracking and future reference.
Inside & Outside Sales:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within your client portfolio.
- Stay informed on SCV Waste Solution’s offerings and industry trends to provide relevant solutions to clients.
- Manage scheduled contract renewals.
- Utilize CRM systems to manage accounts, track sales performance, and report progress.
- Keep your sales pipeline up to date and ensure accurate, timely reporting.
- Actively seek new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, and other sales techniques as directed by the Business Development Manager.
- Participate in site visits and provide client demonstrations when necessary.
- Driving to meetings and customer sites several times a week.
Contract Management:
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients to maximize business success.
- Collaborate with the Administrator or Customer Service Specialist (CSS) to manage scheduled recurring proactive full-service renewals (PAFS).
- Build and deliver internal and external onboarding packages for new clients.
- Work with internal teams (Operations, Administration, Customer Service, and Accounting) to ensure smooth onboarding and implementation.
- Create and deliver service change requests based on client feedback and approve revenue-impacting changes with the Business Development Manager before implementation.
Marketing:
- Assist in the creation of marketing materials, such as brochures, flyers, and presentations.
- Coordinate the production and distribution of marketing materials with both internal teams and external vendors.
- Maintain and update marketing collateral and sales enablement materials to ensure consistency.
- Attend community, networking and customer appreciation events to build relationships and support sales targets throughout the Okanagan area (several times per month).
Additional Expectations:

- Participate in the training and onboarding of new employees as required.
- Complete two full-day ride-alongs yearly to stay connected with the services being sold and field operations.
- Foster a collaborative, respectful and diverse work environment by maintaining positive relationships with co-workers, adapting to changing priorities, and supporting team initiatives.
Job Requirements:
- Must have at least 2-3 years of relevant and recent work experience.
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in managing key accounts and contracts.
- Success in inside and outside sales.
- Experience in marketing is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills, including in-person, phone, email, and digital channels.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
- Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving, dynamic, and high-volume environment.
- Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with digital marketing tools and social media is an asset.
- Your own personal reliable vehicle and valid Driver’s License.
