Good Experience in Commercial Projects preferably Hotels

We’re looking for an experienced and talented Carpenter to join our team. The successful candidate must be skilled with a good working knowledge of carpentry, drywall and general building knowledge including renovation and re-builds. Other skills like experience with installation of doors and windows, taping and painting would be a definite asset. Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license. We look forward to hearing from you. You will be required to work independently and adapt to unexpected obstacles, as well as work collaboratively with other members of the team. The Carpenter will have strong organizational skills and be able to create solutions and construct innovative designs on their own, with regular oversight and guidance from a supervisor.

Responsibilities:

  • Carpentry
  • Drywall
  • General building knowledge including renovation and re-builds
  • Installation of doors and windows and taping
  • LVT Flooring and Vinyl base
  • Finish carpentry projects.
  • Build various pieces of furniture.
  • Prioritize tasks based on deadlines
  • Handle carpentry tools and machines.
  • Layout and measure materials (wood, nails, screws etc.) for jobsite use.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $32.00-$40.00 per hour

Merisons are looking to recruit a new addition to our team. As a carpenter for Merisons you will be expected to carry out a variety of works within the midlands area ( company vehicle) for a range of contracts. Mainly the commercial sectors, with some domestic and industrial work.
