Position Overview:

090 Builders Group is seeking an experienced and skilled Self-Erect Crane Operator to join our 090 Project Team. Additionally, having forklift/telehandler ticket is considered an asset. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining self-erect cranes on our construction sites. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety.

Responsibilities:

· Operate self-erect cranes in a safe and efficient manner

· Perform daily inspections of cranes and equipment to ensure they are in proper working condition.

· Perform pre-operational inspections including hazard assessments, calculating crane capabilities and weight to prepare for rigging and hoisting

· Assist Site with miscellaneous tasks around the job site when crane is not in use.

· Always follow all safety procedures and protocols.

· Communicates effectively with all members of the Project Team

· Lift and move heavy materials and equipment as needed

· Performs routine maintenance on cranes and equipment.

· Reports any issues or concerns to the appropriate Site Lead

· Adhere to project timelines and deadlines

What you will bring to the Role:

· Proven experience

· Valid crane operator certification – 1-year minimum experience – Level A or Equivalent.

· Forklift/Telehandler ticket considered an asset

· Excellent communication and teamwork skills

· Attention to detail – work with precision

· Able to problem solve with strong technical mindset

· Demonstrates initiative, and understanding

· Eager to learn and understand the 090 Builders Group Philosophy

· The ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

· Accepts and understands responsibility

· Dependable and steady performer; work is accurate and is on time

· Attend daily toolbox meetings as well as safety and production meetings

· Dedication to Safety by participating within our Safety Program

· Perform daily inspections of equipment

· Report ‘Near Misses/Hazardous Situations

· Understanding and the ability to follow safe work procedures and work within a crew accordingly.

· Maintain a functional and clean work environment, including tools and company vehicles

· Work collaboratively and solely as required

· Staying alert and maintain a high level of concentration

· Positive attitude -strong work ethics – willing to go above and beyond

· Must have a VALID Driver’s License

· Must have your own PPE: hard hat, CSA approved work boots, and appropriate weather-related work clothes.

· Demonstrated ability to adjust to work – related demands

· Strong safety mindset

· Eager to learn

· Work well with others

· Must have a Smart Phone/Cell – with data

· WHMIS – Free Link when you register – mandatory requirement

· PAT – Free Link when you register – mandatory requirement

· Certified Crane Operator Certification

· Telehandler/Forklift Certification- an asset

· Fall Pro/Working at Heights – Practical Training Certificates Only – **training will also be provided to approved individuals on site.
