While developing the campers’ athletic skills is certainly important, our core focus is creating a positive environment for our participants, allowing them to have fun and forge lasting friendships.
Who We Are
True North Sports Camps offers year-round sports programming for boys and girls ages 2 to 14 in Toronto, Etobicoke and Oshawa. We offer baseball, flag football, basketball, soccer, multi-sport and multi-sport with a hockey specialty summer day camps as well as after-school and weekend programs during the fall, winter and spring. At True North, we believe that recreational sports are an important part of every child’s development and we make it our top priority to deliver a truly memorable experience.
True North Sports Camps was created by the founders of North Toronto Baseball Camp, and since 2007 our goal has remained the same: to provide the highest quality sports instruction in a fun, safe and encouraging environment.
March Break Camp Details
– Camp Type: Multi-Sport
– Location – Branksome Hall
– Address – 6 Elm Avenue Toronto, Ontario M4W 1N4
– Date – March 10 to March 14
– Time – 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM (Extended Care offered until 5:00 PM)
Responsibilities
As a multi-sport camp coach, you will be responsible for leading a skill group throughout the week. Within your skill group you will provide outstanding instruction, while fostering a fun and encouraging environment for all participants. Successful candidate responsibilities/expectations will include but are not limited to the following:
Pre-Camp (TBD)
– Attendance and participation in a mandatory virtual staff training session, we’ll do our best to schedule the training around a candidate’s availability.
At Camp (March 10 – 14, 2025)
– Creating the environment:
– Ensuring all campers feel welcome and stay safe
– Prepare and execute lessons, drills and games
– Provide coaching instruction in a manner that takes individual differences in skill and learning styles into account
– Create a fun and inclusive environment for staff and campers
– Work with other coaches to lead large group games and activities – get involved and connect with the campers!
– Follow camp-wide policies and procedures (i.e., phones/tablets away during camp, regular headcounts, garbage pick-up, etc.)
– Participate in daily staff meetings
– Assist in tracking and organizing camp equipment, supplies, t-shirts and prizes

Compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications.
