Job Description

Work with us
Want a great start to your career in car repair? Then do an apprenticeship with Kwik Fit—the UK’s leading auto repair and servicing company. You’ll earn as you learn the skills you need to do well here and, in no more than 30 months, you’ll be a qualified Autocare Technician and already a few rungs up the Kwik Fit Career Ladder. Some of our best performing Centre Managers (the kind who take home the top prizes at our yearly company-wide meeting) started as apprentices just a few years ago. And top positions at our company are held by ex-apprentices. No wonder Ofsted rates our apprenticeship programme highly.
The Day to Day
The apprenticeship programme is designed to give you a working knowledge of how our Centres work and how we deliver peace of mind motoring for customers. You’ll split your time between a Kwik Fit Centre and our state-of-the-art training academies. In the training academy, you’ll join a cohort of apprentices and work with our experts to build up your skills from scratch. In the Centre, you’ll be supported by your line manager, centre staff and your dedicated coach when working on tyres, brakes, aircon and anything else that will put your new skills to the test. It’s a practical and rewarding way to learn and you’ll make some friends for life along the way.
Who we’re looking for
You might be fresh out of school or college or come to us after working in a different industry. What matters is that you’re passionate about developing a career in the automotive industry and ready to give this opportunity everything you’ve got. The people who do well here are self-motivated and can pull together with a team to deliver for customers—if that’s you, we’d love to meet you. To qualify, we ask for level 3-9 in GCSE Maths and English. That said, if you’ve got the special drive we’re looking for, we’ll consider your application even if your grades come up short—and we’ll help you get the maths and English qualifications you need. Kwik Fit apprenticeships are delivered throughout the UK, so you can apply wherever you are.
The Perks
One of the great things about working with a large company like Kwik Fit is the amazing benefits package. Right from the start, you’ll get: • Discount at supermarkets and high street retailers • Up to 50% off at Kwik Fit • Wagestream—access your wages before payday • Eyecare—free examinations and discounted/free glasses • Easy-book appointments with a free online GP • Cycle-to-work scheme • Free mortgage advice • Life assurance • Employee Assistance Programme • Full-pay paternity leave
About Us
Kwik Fit has been a household name in tyre fitting and auto servicing for more than five decades. In more than 600 Centres around the UK, we fit tyres, fix brakes, carry out MOTs and cure the most complex car complaints. From Tyre Fitter to Autocare Technician and Master Centre Manager, there’s a range of ways to make a difference here, each with a single purpose in common—to keep our customers safe on the road.

Job Description

The role
Our Apprenticeships are the most sought-after in the automotive sector. Ofsted rates them as ‘outstanding’ and it’s no wonder – because here at our state-of-the-art centres, you’ll learn new auto-care skills and the special brand of customer service that makes us everyday heroes in the communities we serve. You’ll learn full-time through a combination of real work and training and you’ll come out with a guaranteed role with a great team.
Skills & experience
• Desire for a career within the automotive industry • Self-motivated • Team focused • Graded at least 4-9 in GCSE English Language and Maths (or equivalent)
Key accountabilities
Working alongside a qualified technician, you’ll learn tyre maintenance, wheel balancing, and the fundamentals of vehicle systems from steering and suspension to exhausts and air-conditioning. And you’ll learn how to deliver it all as part of the Kwik Fit experience. It’s about understanding what makes us special and putting that into everything you do.
Benefits
When not at an autocentre, you’ll attend one of our state-of-the-art training centres. We’ll cover all training costs and give you first-class support including a dedicated Kwik Fit coach, highly qualified technical trainers, and excellent online learning facilities. At the end of the 27-month programme (24-month programme in Scotland and Wales), you’ll emerge with a raft of industry-recognised qualifications and you’ll be set up for a great career at Kwit Fit
About us
Everyone knows Kwik Fit for tyres, but these days we do a whole lot more. Servicing, fleet services, fast-fit – whatever comes our way. And whilst half of our MOT and service appointments are booked in advance, either online or over the phone, we are still ready to save the day for customers who need us at the drop of a hat. That’s what it’s all about for us – being there for customers. We’re heroes to our local communities. That’s why we say, ‘you can’t get better’.
