Kopek Security & Facilities Ltd is a national provider of manned and canine assisted security services. As a company, consistently strive to deliver a high standard of service.

We are wanting to recruit full and part time dog handlers to join our existing canine section on either a PAYE, UTR or LTD contract.

Preferred applicants will be expected to maintain/work towards a high level of proficiency along with their canine teammate through regular training and improvements.

Differing levels of experience and ability considered as mentoring is available.

A high level of animal welfare and care will always be expected!

An exciting opportunity in the Huddersfield / Barnsley area for varied work has presented itself, the role will be flexible in its delivery supporting the business with an ever expanding and diverse portfolio. These are for long term contracts across multiple sites.

We are looking for Dog Handlers that are happy to work across a number of sites providing a very clear visible deterrent whilst working in a public environment.

Successful candidates and their work vehicles will need to be fully compliant, clean and presentable at all times.

Hours of Work

Weekdays, weekends, days and nights

Rates of Pay

£12 per hr for PAYE with a pay review in April 2025

£14.00 per hr for Self Employed and Limited Companies.

Handler Requirements

To apply, applicants are required to have:

* A great work ethic, a positive, can-do attitude and be a team player

* Genuine understanding of their canine partners needs/welfare

* A good level of written and verbal English

* A valid frontline SIA badge

* Minimum level 2 team certificate (NASDU, NTIPDU or BIPDT)

* Continuation training (CT) records

* A suitable dog of guarding breed

* Compliant dog cages with escape hatches (must provide photographic evidence)

* Vehicles must be visible with livery. Vehicle must be unbranded (no company livery)

* Warning triangles on all exits

* Public Liability Insurance

* Have the right to work in the UK

* Professional, presentable with excellent communication skills

Job Type: Zero hours contract

Pay: £12.00-£14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
