Overview

We are seeking a compassionate Care Assistant to join our team in providing essential care and support to individuals in a care home setting. The role involves assisting with daily living activities and ensuring the well-being of residents.

Duties

• Support residents with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, and toileting
• Assist in the creation and implementation of individual care plans
• Engage residents in meaningful activities to promote social interaction and mental stimulation
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in residents’ conditions
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues
• Utilise IT systems for documentation and reporting
• Drive to appointments or outings as required

Qualifications

• Experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable
• Proficient in English, both verbal and written
• Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes
• Valid driving licence to transport residents when necessary
• Ability to empathise with residents and provide person-centred care
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and colleagues

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary

Pay: £10.42-£11.44 per hour
