Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a compassionate Care Assistant to join our team in providing essential care and support to individuals in a care home setting. The role involves assisting with daily living activities and ensuring the well-being of residents.
Duties
- Support residents with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, and toileting
- Assist in the creation and implementation of individual care plans
- Engage residents in meaningful activities to promote social interaction and mental stimulation
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in residents’ conditions
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues
- Utilise IT systems for documentation and reporting
- Drive to appointments or outings as required
Qualifications
- Experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable
- Proficient in English, both verbal and written
- Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes
- Valid driving licence to transport residents when necessary
- Ability to empathise with residents and provide person-centred care
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and colleagues
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary
Pay: £10.42-£11.44 per hour
