We are looking for qualified, motivated and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioners to join our Kirktonholme Childcare team at our Kirktonholme Mearnswood (Newton Mearns) location.

35 hr & 40 hr contracts available.

Candidates should:

Hold a HNC or SVQ level 3 qualification in Early Education and Childcare or equivalent

Experience in delivering Curriculum for Excellence is required and a working knowledge of Realising the Ambition and GIRFEC.

Successful candidates will be required to become a member of SSSC and PVG Scheme.

Responsibilities of the job include:

  • Providing learning experiences for children that are age and stage appropriate.
  • Take part in training that is provided throughout the year.
  • Working as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support within the playroom, ensuring the best outcomes for children.
  • Hold an HNC/SVQ qualification or equivalent in Social Services, Children and Young People.
  • Be a member of the PVG Scheme.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to be a strong team player.
  • Be active, proactive, and positive with a happy disposition.
  • Have a passion for working with children.
  • Show a good level of written English.
  • Basic Microsoft Word skills are an advantage (training provided if necessary).
