Job Opportunity: Pharmacy Counter Assistant

Probation Period: 3 months
Location: Vicary Pharmacy, Haddenham, Bucks
Hours: Monday to Friday 2pm – 6pm and Saturday 9am – 12pm (23 hours per week)
Salary: £8.60 – £11.44 per hour

The Role:
We are seeking a friendly, motivated Pharmacy Counter Assistant to join our team. As the first point of contact for many patients, you will play a vital role in creating a positive experience. You’ll work at the healthcare counter and across the retail floor, providing advice on pharmacy products, over-the-counter medicines, and supporting the wider pharmacy team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Offering attentive, friendly service to all patients and customers
• Handling over-the-counter queries and prescriptions
• Assisting with ordering, stock checks, and product displays
• Supporting professional pharmacy services and improving counter sales
• Learning and advising on over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and supplements

Skills & Requirements:

• Excellent communication skills and a friendly, compassionate nature
• Enthusiasm for providing great patient care
• Organised, motivated, and able to work well within a team
• Previous experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting is an advantage but not essential – full training will be provided!
