Due to our continually expanding customer base, we are now looking to add to our team of highly collaborative Audio Visual Technicians.

Working as an AV Technician your prime function is to provide operational support to customers for all aspects of their audio visual, video conference, digital signage and presentation technologies.

The position will provide you a high degree of exposure, working sometimes with executive management and managing directors of key businesses.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Video/Audio Conferencing

    • Video/audio conference setup and support

    • Supporting internal and external events

    • Assisting with support for video/audio conferencing issues; investigating faults and recommending solutions


  • General AV Meeting Room Support

    • Ensuring all multi-media/presentation rooms are maintained and in good working order

    • AV equipment setup and support

    • Presentation/multi-media meeting room support, including duration support

    • Assisting with support for multi-media broadcasting.

    • Assisting where possible with IT related enquiries and generating escalations


  • Faults and Room Checks

    • Carrying out regular preventative room checks, ensuring all equipment functions correctly

    • Proactive maintenance/reporting to ensure all AV equipment is always of the highest standard

    • Assisting with first- and second-line fault repairs

    • Undertake all power down/up when required, usually involving out-of-hours overtime commitments


  • General Duties

    • Advising clients on best practice and providing feedback on communication issues and service improvements

    • Assisting with training of new starters and freelancers.

    • Build and maintain client relationships.

    • Maintaining a good working relationship with global AV/VC/TP counterparts

We are looking for an individual who has solid exposure working as an AV Technician; someone who is comfortable working alone or as part of a team and who possesses first class customer service.

Job Description

Role: AV Technician

Location: London (central)

Salary: Strong basic (dependent on experience), plus company benefits

Hours: 40 hrs per week, covering 8-hour shifts between 07:30 am – 22:00pm on a rota basis

Interview process: 2-stage process (virtual and then in-person)

We have a portfolio of blue chip clients and the current opportunity we have available is working on one of our most prestigious customers, providing dedicated support services, of a mix of AV, UC and Event services as part of our existing and growing onsite team.

This exciting and diverse role will involve supporting senior stakeholders and so you will need to be able to carry yourself well and provide a high-class service both personally and technically.


Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure operational availability of all dedicated Event Spaces, AV & Hybrid enabled meeting rooms

  • Perform AV equipment setup/installation and support as required

  • Provide technical support for Events, including duration support where requested

  • Set up and operate supplied infrastructure, equipment and applications in dedicated live event spaces and meeting rooms to deliver live events where requested

  • Attend post event debriefs where requested

  • Provide quick responses to emergency/ad-hoc requests, adhering to SLA’s where relevant

  • Conduct regular proactive room and equipment checks

  • Demonstrate Self Service AV and VC Capabilities to end users wherever possible

  • Assist with end user or Customer training as required

  • Assist with the training of new starters or sub-contractors as required


Skills and experience:

  • Knowledge of AV solutions from a technical perspective

  • Proven experience with digital mixing desks, vision mixers and camera controls

  • Knowledge of collaboration clients such as Cisco, Teams, Zoom, Google

  • Fully IT literate with good MS Office skills

  • Manual handling tasks will be required when necessary for moving equipment

  • Excellent people skills

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills. The nature of this role involves last minute requests and as such, flexibility is a key attribute

  • Adaptability to work in unfamiliar surroundings

  • Passionate customer service attitude and proven customer service skills

  • Extensive experience in working in a pressured operational environment

  • Willing to undertake security screening (BPSS & SC)
