The Head of Transformation Portfolio role sits within the Transformation Office Directorate.

The Transformation Office (TO) supports the senior leadership of the university in effective strategy execution, delivering a complex set of transformation initiatives and driving sustainable improvements to our core business.

About the Role

The Head of Transformation Portfolio role sits within the Transformation Office Directorate. The Transformation Office supports the senior leadership of the university in effective strategy execution, delivering a complex set of transformation initiatives and driving sustainable improvements to our core business.

The Head of Transformation Portfolio is responsible for monitoring and managing assigned portfolios by:

    Establishing and guiding the selection, prioritisation, balancing, and termination processes for portfolio components to ensure alignment with organisational strategy

    Assisting decision makers with the review, prioritisation, and optimisation of the portfolio

    Ensuring timely and consistent communication to stakeholders on progress, impacts, and changes associated with management of the portfolio

    Participating in programme and project reviews to ensure delivery to scope, time and budget.

This is a full time (35 Hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract.

About You

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:

Essential criteria

  • Education to degree standard and/or equivalent qualifications/experience
  • Proven experience of portfolio delivery including providing portfolio assurance and governance
  • Proven experience of translating business analysis, requirements definition and business case production into practical implementation
  • Portfolio Management qualifications/experience
  • Proven experience of project delivery
  • Good leadership skills and the ability to influence motivate and inspire others

Desirable criteria

  • PRINCE2 Foundation or equivalent qualifications/experience
  • Agile Scrum Master and/or equivalent qualifications/experience
