Kidzcare is proud to be the first Employee-Owned Childcare Company in Scotland, having made the move to employee ownership in January 2022.
We are looking to recruit a dedicated and committed individual to join our St Peters Breakfast & After School Club in the role of Manager. This role would be ideally suited to a previous childcare manager or deputy manager looking for progression, that is skilled to motivate, lead and be responsible for the day-to-day management of the club.
We cater for 40 children within breakfast club and 70 children within after school club with the support of an established staff team of 7 Playworkers and 2 Deputy Managers.
The role of the manager:
- To ensure that our staff team provide fun and stimulating opportunities for the children in an inviting environment, both indoors and outdoors.
- Support the staff in meeting the care needs of all the children and ensuring their safety at all times.
- To model good practice to the staff team and implement current guidance.
- To support the employees with their daily duties and in their professional development.
- To communicate and support parents regularly.
- To carry out administration tasks such as enrolment and registration of children, care plans and medication and risk assessments.
- To promote an environment of self-evaluation and ensure robust quality assurance processes are in place.
Potential candidates should have extensive knowledge and experience in childcare, hold a childcare qualification, preferably SVQ3/SCQF level 7 qualification, and be able to demonstrate their management & leadership experiences in this type of environment.
St Peters Operational Hours:
- Breakfast Club: Monday to Friday 7.30am till 9am.
- After School Club: Monday to Thursday 2.30pm to 5.45pm, Friday 11.45am to 5.45pm.
- Hours: Approx. 37 ½ hrs per week
- 7 ½ hrs Breakfast Club
- 19 hrs After School Club
- Approximately 11 Flexible Hours per week (office-based administration time.

The successful applicant will be subject to a PVG check and must be willing to register as Manager with SSSC; a requirement of this registration is to commence working towards a BA in Childhood Practice or equivalent within 5 years.

Pay: From £15.00 per hour
