Kidslingo Spanish Patty Rojas is a local branch of Kidslingo Ltd, with a national network teaching Spanish (and French) to children from birth to 11 years old. We work with schools and early years settings (nurseries, pre-schools and childminders) to deliver curricular lessons, enrichment activities, and extra-curricular clubs. We also run online and private lessons. We work across the following areas: Teignbridge, South Hams and Torbay. Any TQ postcodes.

Job description
This is a freelance/self-employed tutor role.
You will teach Spanish following the Kidslingo programmes and lesson plans. The classes are very fun, using an action-packed combination of songs, drama, movement, games, Makaton signs, actions, role play and stories. All lesson plans are provided for you to follow, but you would need to do some preparation.
We are primarily looking for tutors who are available in the after school slot for 1 hour (approximately between 2:45-4:30pm) on weekdays (all or some of Monday to Friday). This will be to teach Spanish in extra-curricular Spanish clubs in primary schools and may also include some private lessons and classes in nurseries/pre-schools. The hours of work are term-time only.
There may be further opportunities to teach Kidslingo Spanish lessons at other times in the future – during school hours or at weekends. If you wish to cover these times and weekends.
The rates of pay are variable depending upon the duration of each class. It is £27 per hour (or pro rata).

Requirements
- Understand that this is a self-employed role (and the associated implications) with no guarantee of set hours.
- Fun, hard-working, responsible and reliable fluent Spanish and English speakers with excellent interpersonal skills.
- You will ideally have experience working with little ones (preschool to 11 years old).
- You absolutely must be energetic, passionate about languages and have a cheerful, fun-loving attitude.
- Teaching experience is preferred but full training and all lesson plans will be provided.
- Access to your own transport with a valid UK driving license.
- Available to work some of the following: After school and lunch clubs in schools. Our after school clubs are for 1 hour and our lunch clubs are for 30 minutes. We usually run 2 back-to-back lunch clubs (30 minutes each club).
- The position is likely to begin with 2-4 hours per week, fitting around your own availability, with scope to work more hours (if you would like to) as demand builds. We have schools on the waiting list.
- Available to run in-person classes in any of the specified areas (Teignbridge, South Hams and Torbay) We always make sure you are not too far away from the classes.
- Must live within the specified area.
- Right to live & work in the UK (EU nationals must have settled status)
- Not just looking for temporary, short-term work for a few weeks/months. Full training will be given to successful candidate(s).
An enhanced DBS, first aid training and child protection training will be required (but not essential at this stage).
