Nursery Early Years Apprentice

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate apprentice to join our team. to train to become an Early Years Educator at our OFSTED registered nurseries in Leeds 16. Our settings are rated GOOD and OUTSTANDING by Ofsted and provide a perfect environment to learn to play a vital role in providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children to learn and grow. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and contribute to their early development.

The apprentice would work towards a Diploma in Children’s Learning and Development (Early Years Educator) (QCF) Level 2 or 3 which can lead to further study towards level 4 and Degree Level qualifications. Kids Academy has over 20 years of experience in developing staff to further their career in Childcare and Education.

Job Description:

You will learn skills to be able to :

-Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and educational programs
– Create a safe and inclusive environment for children to explore and learn
– Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play and structured activities
– Observe and assess children’s progress, identifying areas for improvement or additional support
– Collaborate with parents and guardians to ensure open communication and involvement in their child’s learning journey
– Maintain accurate records of children’s attendance, progress, and any incidents or concerns
– Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure the well-being of all children in your care.

Your training will be in the workplace, including off the job training and your tutors will visit you on site to asses your progress .

Desired Qualities:
We are looking for good team players who are punctual reliable and above all are eager to work with children aged 0 to 4 years.

Educational requirements

Ideally English GCSE at C (grade 4 ) or above . Where candidates do not have these grades they will complete Functional Skills as part of the training.

Remuneration

Apprentice allowance of £280-£380 per week raising throughout the apprenticeship as progression is made on the course.

Training costs are covered by the training body.

Safeguarding is a priority we will DBS check all our trainees.
