Sweeper Driver 7.5tonne, Reading

Job Description

We are looking for someone to join our team of sweeper drivers. We operate a fleet of 7.5tonne sweeper trucks. Based from our Centre in Reading, Berkshire, RG2 0NH, you will be working at various locations and different sites within an hours radius, including schools, construction sites, private estates, car parks, amenity grounds, sports surfaces etc. Flexibility around the normal working times of 8am-5pm Mon-Fri would be required to suit customer needs, Saturday rota for occasional weekend jobs. Opportunities for overtime available.

Work will include:

• daily vehicle checks,
• driving and operating the specialist machines,
• ensuring sites are cleaned to customer satisfaction which may involve some handwork
• maintaining appropriate records
• Upkeep and minor repairs to machinery and equipment used

A cheerful, approachable attitude and good communication skills are required as the individual will have regular contact with site managers and premises owners.

You will require:

• A driving licence which allows you to operate a 7.5 tonne vehicle
• Preferably a valid CPC
• Right to work in the UK
• Good vocabulary and conversational skills
• Positive attitude and team spirit
• Flexibility
• Eye for detail

This is a permanent, full time position of 40 hours per week.

20 days paid annual leave plus bank holidays.

Extra long service holiday entitlement

Salary range includes potential overtime.

Pay: £25,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
