The successful candidate will act as the liaison between our customers and service technicians, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for all clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers and direct them to available mechanics.
  • Consult with mechanics regarding necessary repairs and possible alternatives.
  • Provide in-depth information about available parts and service options to customers.
  • Answer questions about service outcomes, schedule appointments, and manage vehicle drop-off and pick-up.
  • Advise customers on warranty protections, potential cost savings, and the advantages of trading in versus repairing their car.
  • Oversee the dealership’s workflow and schedule to ensure efficiency.
  • Maintain positive customer relationships to encourage repeat business.
  • Ensure all details on services rendered and costs are communicated to customers and process their payments.
  • Liaise with service technicians about parts ordering and ensure parts are available when needed.

Requirements:

  • Proven work experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of automotive technology and the automotive industry.
  • Proficiency with industry-specific software.
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Relevant training and/or certifications as a Service Advisor are advantageous.

The role

As a Service Advisor, you play a vital role in the store, being the point of contact between the customers and our workshop. You will be based front of house in the showroom, so need to be passionate about helping customers. Full training is provided, so you don’t need to have worked in a car dealership before. Your first couple of weeks will include our Marshall Customer Journey induction programme, shadowing opportunities and a buddy system, all designed to help you settle into your new role.

Who you are

  • Previous customer service experience is essential
  • You will be passionate about the customer journey and giving a great customer experience
  • You are comfortable working to deadlines and managing customer expectations with regular communication and updates
  • You will have strong attention to detail and organised as you will manage your own customer base and workload
  • Feel confident supporting with complex customer issues professionally and leaning on management for guidance where necessary
  • Tech savvy, ideally having used CRM systems in the past

What you’ll do

  • Establish and manage the customer relationship ahead of their booking, greeting them on arrival
  • Supporting the customer’s experience through their Marshall journey in a positive and proactive manner
  • Act as an advocate for the business and the customer as the subject matter expert, supporting their decision making to achieve desirable outcomes
  • Complete all administration duties linked to the customer in an accurate and sympathetic manner
  • Proactively supporting the customer with future requirements
  • Working as part of a team to drive outstanding customer service and retention

Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience of working in a Service department in a franchised dealership

  • Familiarity of warranty procedures would be advantageous but not essential

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • To manage all service telephone and walk-in enquiries on behalf of the Audi Centre.
  • Qualify service needs.
  • Establish understanding and an agreement with the customer of the work to be carried out.
  • Calculate workshop capacity ensuring that all details are entered onto the service workshop loading system.
  • Manage the handover and administration of Customer Service Vehicles. Explain the work carried out on the vehicle ensuring customers full understanding and authorisation.
  • Manage any necessary liaison with department manager regarding customer dissatisfaction
  • Understand and adhere to Audi Brand service requirements.
