We are searching for a Workshop Controller for our Stockton-on-Tees Dealership.

We are now adopting a Monday – Friday work pattern in aid of creating a better work/life balance for our aftersales department.

As a Workshop Controller at Drive Motor Retail, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation of our service centre. You will be responsible for bringing the team together, scheduling workloads and driving your colleagues to achieve their best performance, resulting in exceptional service and customer satisfaction.

• Basic Salary £30,000 – OTE £34,400

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and allocate repair and maintenance work to the team
• Monitor work in progress and ensure timely completion, working towards departmental KPI’s that have been set.
• Motivate and encourage team members to achieve productivity and quality targets, this includes hitting the Workshop efficiency against budget.
• Liaise with customers to provide updates on their vehicle’s status
• Ensure the workshop adheres to safety and environmental guidelines.
• Assist with problem-solving and provide technical guidance when needed
• Maintain comprehensive records of work and inventory

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a Workshop Controller or similar role.
• Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
• Strong organisational and scheduling abilities
• Ability to motivate and push team members to achieve exceptional results.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Hours: 45 hours Per Week – Monday to Friday only

Salary: £38,883.00 Plus Uncapped Bonus Scheme

The role

We are seeking an Experienced Workshop Controller at Wimbledon Audi . This role will see you lead day-to-day operations for our busy service operation, supervising and motivating a team of 10 technicians. Reporting to our Aftersales Manager, this role is offered on a full time, permanent basis. To be successful in this role, you will have experience as a Workshop Controller, ideally from a franchised dealership (brand experience flexible). You will also have intermediate IT skills, ideally with experience in administrating eVHC software. In addition to your previous experience, we are seeking individuals who display the following attributes:

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team
• A professional and calm approach with strong customer service skills
• Strong problem solving skills, with the ability to foresee potential barriers

What you’ll do

• Lead, manage and motivate a team of qualified and apprentice technicians
• Allocate work orders to technicians, and manage technician clocking on/off, and rostering
• Ensure workshop operations meet brand standards for quality by conducting regular quality checks on completed works
• Drive service profitability by ensuring maximum time save and upsell
• Manage and update workshop technical solutions including eVHC and service booking database
• Provide outstanding customer service to service customers both face-to-face and by phone
• Assist and work closely with the Service Advisor team as required
