Job Description

We require a passionate Early Years Apprentice to become part of our wonderful team.

We provide a nurturing, happy and safe place for every child, in an environment which supports development, challenges and enables children to lead their own learning through exploring and curiosity.

We are set in on a beautiful farm steading, surrounded by countryside landscape and wildlife. We have a private forest, meadow, poly tunnel and the most beautiful outdoor space. We have three beautiful playrooms and our children are aged from one year up till starting school.

We believe in taking good care of our staff and offer two extra staff well-being days holiday a year. giving staff 30 days holiday.

Our staff team are very friendly, welcoming and supportive. We have regular teambuilding and social events developing strong friendships.

The successful candidate will be:

· Following nursery safeguarding procedures to ensure all children are kept safe, well and secure

· Working closely within a team to operate a programme of activities that meet the individual needs and interests of children in your care

· Contributing to a wide range of learning activities and the achievement of learning outcomes

· Supporting all team members and engaging in developing an excellent working environment

· Assisting children with personal care tasks including toileting, dressing, and feeding

· Being flexible and providing help where needed, to include the cleaning of equipment and preparing of snacks

You will also work towards obtaining an SVQ in Social Services (Children and Young People) at SCQF Level 7. You must also be, or eligible to become, a PVG Scheme member.

Job Types: Full-time, Apprenticeship

Pay: £6.40 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Milngavie G62 6EL: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Education:

  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
