If you’ve graduated with an English Degree, and you’re passionate about providing an outstanding education to children, this school would love to hear from you. Aspirations of becoming an outstanding English teacher is a must, as is the ability to commit to the school until the completion of your training. As a Graduate English Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with the teachers within the school’s English department to support the learning of high achieving pupils and by supporting pupils who may be struggling with the lesson content. You will get the chance to observe how qualified English teachers plan and deliver lessons and to build up your knowledge of the English curriculum across KS3 and KS4. In this progressive role, you are likely to get the opportunity to implement pre-set lesson plans to whole classes as an English Cover Supervisor. You will also provide specialist 1:1 support to students in the lead up to GCSE exams.
