Job Description

A market leading manufacturer is looking for an experienced Installation Engineer to join them at their site in Glossop.

This role offers extensive travel opportunities and the chance to work on cutting-edge installations while honing your skills in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Monday – Friday 8:00am – 6:00pm (dependent on project)

What will you be doing as an Installation Engineer?

  • Installing and configuring electro-mechanical systems and applications
  • Reading diagrams, schematics, and layout plans to ensure accurate installations
  • Performing fault finding and repairs
  • Planning tasks and coordinating logistics for site projects
  • Conducting testing and commissioning of equipment
  • Liaising with customers and providing feedback to the team

What do you need?

  • Experience in site installation layouts, conveyor systems, or automated materials handling equipment
  • Electrical wiring and testing experience, including wiring drives and safety circuits
  • Familiarity with mechanical installations, including motor and drive setups and complex machinery assembly
  • Ability to read technical diagrams, schematics, and layout plans
  • A minimum of City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2/3 in a related discipline (18th Edition desirable)
  • Strong health and safety awareness

Job Description

Mono Equipment designs and manufactures a wide range of commercial bakery equipment at its factory in Swansea. The product range includes ovens, depositors, dough processing equipment and fryers. With global distribution, Mono’s products are considered market leading in many of its product categories.

We are currently looking for a technically minded Installation Engineer to join our busy Installation team, assisting with the installation, commissioning and training of Mono products at customer sites ensuring on-time delivery.

Weekly UK travel will be required and overnight stays are a definite. Occasional overseas travel will also be required.

Ideal candidates will have/be:

  • A multi-skilled or electrical background.
  • Excellent organisational skills including managing your time within the working day with the ability to multi-task.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills,
  • Hands on experience with an installation/production background
  • Able to use their own initiative & be self-motivated
  • Willingness to travel in the UK and overseas to install, commission and train on Mono/Third Party bakery equipment.
  • Computer literate
  • A full, clean driving licence is essential as you will be required to travel to customers’ premises. Company van is provided to conduct your working day & travel home
  • Clear verbal & written communication skills & have an excellent telephone manner
  • Safety conscious whilst moving & handling (the capability to assemble, lift & move a variety of equipment)
  • Hardworking, reliable team player with a flexible attitude and excellent time-keeping.

Qualifications:

  • Ideally Electrical or multi-skilled (but not essential).
  • A valid CSCS blue card would be advantageous.
  • NVQ Level 2 in a Construction related topic
  • Driver’s License Required
