Job Description

Duties as a Football Coach

  • Plan and deliver Football sessions to children
  • Develop and implement training programs to improve children’s skills and performance
  • Provide guidance and support to children, helping them set goals and track progress
  • Teach children the rules, techniques, and strategies of the sport
  • Motivate and inspire children to reach their full potential
  • Ensure the safety of children during training sessions
  • Collaborate with other coaches, trainers, and staff members to create a positive team environment
  • Saturday 08:30-11:15
  • Sunday 08:30-11:15
  • Must have own car or van and licence to drive due to nature of the role, we are not able to accept coaches without this.

What are we looking for?

  • A minimum FA level 1 / Intro to Coaching Football
  • Experience working or volunteering as a Football Coach or experience working in schools or communities as a sports or activity leader
  • Possess experience in the planning, preparation and the delivery of team based coaching sessions
  • Strong organisational skills with a professional and enthusiastic outlook.
  • Be a great team player and happy to share knowledge and best practice.
  • This role can be on an employed or self employed basis.

Pay: £13.50-£18.50 per hour

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Football Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of football techniques and strategies, with a commitment to educating and developing players of all skill levels. This role is pivotal in fostering a positive team environment, enhancing player performance, and promoting the values of teamwork and sportsmanship.

Duties:

  • Conduct regular training sessions and drills to improve individual and team performance.
  • Educate players on the rules of football, strategies for gameplay, and the importance of teamwork.
  • Analyse player performance during matches and training sessions to provide constructive feedback for improvement.
  • Foster a supportive and motivating environment that encourages player growth both on and off the pitch.
  • Collaborate with other coaching staff to ensure a cohesive approach to player development.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during training sessions and matches.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in sports coaching, particularly in football, is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of football techniques, tactics, and rules of play.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate players effectively.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire individuals to achieve their best potential.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in planning training sessions.
  • First Aid certification is essential
  • DBS certification is essential
  • Safeguarding for Children is essential
  • A passion for football and commitment to fostering a positive sporting culture within the team.
