Domestic Cleaner
An exciting opportunity has come available to join our domestic team at Drovers Care Home. We are a privately owned company, specialising in Dementia and Residential care. We are looking for a confident individual who is committed, driven, efficient, and able to provide cleaning services within Drovers Care Home in accordance with agreed standards, legislative requirements, relevant regulations and in line with accepted best practices.

Role Specific Duties:

  • Assist in the assessment of the effectiveness of cleaning implementation and delivery
  • Implement action to meet and maintain cleaning standards
  • Evaluate standards of cleaning competence
  • Ensure the Service Users’ rights are protected
  • Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals they support
  • Take responsibility for your own professional development through performance and development reviews and undertake any relevant training
  • To maintain cleaning skills at a current level and undertake such training and development as may from time-to-time be required in order to maintain that currency of practice

Job Description

We are looking to appoint a Domestic Cleaning Assistants to work at Walton Hospital, Chesterfield, this is a fantastic opportunity for you to become part of our DCHS Domestic Team.

The position available is:
5pm – 8pm, Monday – Friday

Although experience is desirable, this is not essential as full training will be given.

You will be required to provide a high quality, domestic service working individually and as part of a team, to ensure a clean and safe environment is maintained for patients, staff and visitors.

You will be required to have a flexible approach and be prepared to work on other sites should service demands dictate.

You will be an integral part in delivering outstanding patient care at Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Foundation Trust (DCHS).

Our purpose is to provide community health services to a patient population of over one million people in Derbyshire and Derby, as part of Joined Up Care Derbyshire.

We employ around 4,200 substantive staff, caring for patients in 11 community hospitals and more than 30 health centres, as well as in clinics, GP practices, schools, care homes and, increasingly, in people’s own homes and via virtual consultations.

Job Description

Kelvedon House is recruiting for a Domestic Assistant to join our team.

You will be required to work as part of a team, to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene within the care centre (whilst ensuring a safe and comfortable environment at all times).

Must be able to work under own initiative.

Experience in the care sector preferred along with Domestic experience

Working 33 hours per week – hours flexible.

A DBS check will be required, initially paid for by company to be deducted from the first 3 months of successful applicants wages.
