Activity Assistant

Job Description

We are seeking an activities assistant to join our dynamic and caring team at Randolph House Care Home. You must be committed and passionate in your practice. You will also need to be knowledgeable in the standards expected within this framework and driven to deliver the highest standard of care whilst leading your area of work.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• To lead and encourage residents to join in meaningful activities whilst maintaining their independence, choice and dignity, to enable them to lead as full and active life as possible.
• Ensure all activities are documented in the activities daily reporting
• Support the Activities Lead in creating a stimulating and varied programme of leisure activities and social events, inside and outside of the home (where applicable), for residents to enjoy
• To support and enable residents to access social networks and maintain personal interests in accordance with best practice, agreed standards, legislation and within the financial budget
• Ensure residents are at the heart of events and programmes to enhance their wellbeing
• Consult and form relationships with each resident in order to identify their social and recreational requirements according to their likes/dislikes, abilities and personal preferences
• Work as an active team member with your colleagues within the home to ensure the highest standards are achieved.
• Undertake any reasonable request which facilitates the resident’s right to choice, dignity and respect.
• Attend statutory training and any other training as directed by the management

Any major variation to the key tasks will be the subject of discussion and agreement between the post holder and Management.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £11.44 per hour
