Graduate Product Management Engineer
Job Description
The SPTS division of KLA, designs, manufactures and markets wafer processing solutions for the global semiconductor and related industries. SPTS provides industry leading etch and deposition process technologies on a range of single wafer handling platforms. End-market applications include micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS), advanced packaging, LED, high speed RF device IC’s and power semiconductors. SPTS is part of KLA Corporation which develops industry-leading equipment and services that enable innovation throughout the electronics industry. We provide advanced process control and process-enabling solutions for manufacturing wafers and reticles, integrated circuits, packaging, printed circuit boards and flat panel displays. The KLA Services team headquartered in Milpitas, CA is our service organization that consists of Service Sales and Marketing, Spares Supply Chain management, Field Operations, Engineering, Product Training, and Technical Support. The KLA Services organization partners with our field teams and customers in all business sectors to maintain the high performance and productivity of our products through a flexible portfolio of services. Our comprehensive services include: proactive management of tools to identify and improve performance; expertise in optics, image processing and motion control with worldwide service engineers, 24/7 technical support teams and knowledge management systems; and an extensive parts network to ensure worldwide availability of parts.
- Responding to customer specification / procurement documents
- Presenting to customers on products/technologies via Zoom or in person.
- Generating throughput and Cost-of-Ownership (CoO) data using industry-standard models
- Generating and updating System Configuration Documents (SCD)
- Assisting with generation of Market Requirement Documents (MRD) as new opportunities are identified
- Checking and editing demo reports before issuing to the sales team
- Working with in-house market analytics resource to develop market size projections
- Hosting / co-hosting / coordinating customer visits for live demonstrations or show & tell
- Developing and maintaining contacts with customers
- Providing input for marcomms press releases / applications briefs / website content / webinars
- Writing and submitting abstracts and papers to relevant conferences and trade shows
- Has a passion for learning and development, continuously seeking for new knowledge and learning opportunities.
- Can think logically to provide customer solutions with a good attention to detail and foresight and ability to collect, filter and analyse data to build solutions for complex technological problems
- Has the ability to think creatively of novel but practical solutions to customer problems
- Is able to demonstrate strong communication skills – You’ll enjoy establishing and maintaining good working relationships with both customers and colleagues.
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (2:1) in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or Material Science.
- Applicants with a Masters or prior experience of studies within the semiconductor industry would be desirable but certainly not a must.
- A good acquaintance with SW tools (MS office, MATLAB) would be advantageous.
