Job Description

KCJ Care & Wellbeing are looking for an Automotive Sales Advisor to join our well-established client in Swindon. You will be working in a supportive and dynamic environment with opportunities to develop. If you have strong interpersonal skills and a good knowledge of vehicle parts, this role is perfect for you!

Skills

  • Customer-Focused: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide excellent service.
  • Automotive Knowledge: Familiarity with car parts and previous experience in the automotive industry is an advantage.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organisational Skills: Ability to stay organised and maintain accurate records.
  • Business Development: Proactively develop business opportunities for the department.

Responsibilities

  • Sales and Customer Service: Provide excellent service to external and internal customers, both over the phone and in-person, ensuring their needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Promote and Sell Parts: Assist customers with product knowledge, recommending the right parts for their vehicles and maximising department sales.
  • Inventory Management: Accurately identify, price, and manage stock for vehicles, including those with special features.
  • Documentation: Complete paperwork (e.g., picking slips, contact details, sales, lost sales), ensuring all information is up-to-date and accessible.
  • Returns Management: Inspect and log returned parts, ensuring they are properly documented and stored.
  • Stock Organisation: Maintain a clean, organised stock warehouse, ready to fulfil customer and workshop orders efficiently.

Experience

Experience in Distribution/Trade Sales: Previous experience in distribution or trade counter sales is highly desirable.

Job Benefits

This role offers a 2.5% commission structure on all personal sales.
