Contract: Permanent (5 of 7 rota)
Hours: Monday-Friday, 12:45 PM to 9:30 PM (43.75 hours per week, including a 30-minute paid lunch break)
Salary: £14 per hour + £5 shift allowance for each full shift worked

Are you an experienced Warehouse Manager looking for an exciting new challenge? We are currently seeking a Warehouse Shift Manager to oversee our late shift operations and ensure we meet our high standards of service, quality, safety, and productivity. What You’ll Do:

• Lead & Motivate: Supervise, train, and inspire a team of 8+ operatives, including forklift drivers and pickers, to achieve maximum productivity and efficiency.
• Yard Management: Effectively manage a busy inbound and outbound yard, ensuring smooth operations and maintaining high standards of safety and organization.
• Multiple Collections Slots: Oversee and coordinate multiple collection slots to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
• Daily Operations: Assign daily tasks to team leaders and staff, managing stock control, order picking, goods in/out processes, and maintaining smooth flow of goods through the yard.
• Performance Monitoring: Ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met for customer trunk vehicles and outbound loading.
• Team Communication: Conduct shift briefings and debriefs, providing performance feedback, and addressing any team queries.
• Safety Champion: Promote Health & Safety standards, ensuring compliance with regulations and maintaining a safe, clean, and organized working environment.
• Administrative Duties: Report absences, conduct return-to-work interviews, and perform inductions for new staff members.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience in a warehouse management or similar role, with experience managing a busy yard.
• Strong leadership skills with a solution-driven approach; you should be a motivator who embraces change and drives efficiency.
• Experience managing multiple collection slots and coordinating logistics for a smooth yard operation.
• Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and a solid understanding of warehousing and distribution processes.
• Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with all team members and management.
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to prioritize workloads in a fast-paced environment.
• Computer literate, with a willingness to learn in-house systems quickly.
• Valid counterbalance and reach truck license with hands-on experience in operating these vehicles.
