General Maintenance Person
Job Description
Are you a hands-on professional with a knack for fixing things and a green thumb for gardening? At Dunley Hall, we’re looking for someone with a versatile skill set to help maintain our facilities and outdoor spaces, ensuring our residents enjoy a safe, comfortable, and beautiful environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs across the facility, including electrical, plumbing, and minor carpentry work.
- Ensure the upkeep and appearance of the care home’s garden and outdoor areas, including planting, pruning, mowing, and general landscaping.
- Inspect and troubleshoot electrical systems, replacing bulbs, switches, and other components as needed.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and ensure issues are resolved efficiently.
- Monitor and maintain equipment and tools to ensure safety and functionality.
- Collaborate with the management team to identify areas for improvement and execute maintenance projects.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety standards.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in maintenance, with knowledge of gardening and electrical systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Physical fitness for outdoor work and handling tools/equipment.
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Friendly and approachable demeanor, with a commitment to creating a pleasant environment for our residents.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.50-£13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
