Primarily working from our Head Office in Warrington, the company is undergoing continued expansion.

About The Role:
Working as a key part of the operations team at PNZ Energy, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, mainly in domestic properties. You will ensure all work complies with regulatory standards and company procedures. You will engage with third-party suppliers and contractors, while also collaborating closely with the wider PNZ team to support the company’s needs.

You will also be working with the wider team in an advisory role, providing technical insight and advice for the design of new and ongoing projects.

The role will mainly operate across the North West, with wider travel possible in line with the general requirements of the business.

You will also work with our compliance team to help maintain the companies electrical and renewable qualifications and accreditations.

The successful candidate will report to the Operations Department and may be required to work independently or as part of a wider installation team.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical monitoring systems in line with company standards.
  • Conducting regular electrical inspections and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
  • Working with the wider team to ensure compliance with all safety regulations and internal procedures.
  • Acting as the main point of contact for internal teams and external contractors.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of electrical work completed, including certifications.
  • Supporting the expansion of the company’s operational capacity by contributing to the design and installation of electrical systems in new projects.
  • Travelling and the potential for working away from home for extended periods.

About You:
The successful candidate will have prior experience as an Electrician, ideally within the energy efficiency or renewable energy sectors. They will have a strong attention to detail, a focus on safety, and a desire to grow within the business.

The candidate must have:

  • 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations certification.
  • ECS/JIB Gold Card.
  • Proven experience as a qualified Electrician, with valid certification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
  • Solid understanding of electrical systems, circuitry and installations.
  • Knowledge of electrical safety standards and relevant regulatory knowledge (e.g., BS 7671, IET Wiring Regulations).
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret electrical plans and technical diagrams.
  • Proficiency in using electrical tools and testing devices.

Skills / Qualifications Requirements:

  • Experience in the renewable energy sector or working on energy-efficient systems such as solar panels or EV charging units.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Confidence in working independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt as the company grows.

  • Salary: £35,000 to £45,000.00 per annum, dependant on experience

  • Implementing planned maintenance programmes and schedules recommending improvements where appropriate, to ensure efficiencies are maximised.
