Academy Driver

Our client, a renowned sports club, is looking for a reliable driver to transport young Academy players between their homes and the training ground on a flexible, ad hoc basis. Some additional trips, including evening or night shifts, may be required. This role is ideal for someone with strong interpersonal skills, adaptability, and the ability to manage last-minute schedule changes. You’ll join a supportive and friendly team, making it easy to feel right at home.

Key Benefits:

• £11.50/hr (overtime at £13.80) PAYE Accrued
• £12.89/hr (overtime at £15.47) PAYE Advanced
• Minimum of 6 hours per day, Monday to Friday, with opportunities for extra hours during the week and weekends
• Use of the vehicle between shifts

Role Overview:

• Two shifts daily, typically starting around 07:00 and 16:00
• Driving a modern people carrier or minibus, transporting 2-6 Academy players
• Potential for additional hours, including evenings and weekends, with higher pay rates
• Coordination with fellow drivers to ensure smooth operations
• Basic vehicle maintenance and reporting any issues promptly
• Compliance with the Safeguarding framework

Requirements:

• Minimum Category D1 Licence with at least 1 year of professional driving experience
• Must be 25 years or older (for insurance purposes)
• No more than 6 points on your licence (minor infractions only)
• Friendly, respectful, and able to work well within a team
• Flexible and adaptable to last-minute changes
• Enhanced DBS check required
