We are a friendly and supportive team who are looking for a proactive accounts assistant who is able to work dynamically across multiple responsibilities whilst also showing meticulous attention to detail.

Full Description

We are recruiting for an accounts administrator to join our head office team in Heathfield. You will assist with the day-to-day running of the accounts office, offering support to the Accounts Coordinator. You will use multiple channels of communication with both suppliers and colleagues. You will gain experience in a wide range of accounting tasks and there is also the opportunity to develop your training to expand to sales invoicing for the right candidate. This role is a Monday to Friday office based role.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Categorising and assisting with the processing of the accounts inbox and urgent queries

Processing weekly expenses, assisting with the fortnightly payment run and reconciling statements on a regular basis

Assisting with posting invoices in WebExpenses

Liaison within the company for approvals and suppliers for payments

Day to day admin tasks/ post, on hire, off hire equipment

Assist with the daily operations of the finance team

About You:

To be considered for this role, you will need:

Proactive and show initiative

Be able to work dynamically across multiple responsibilities whilst also showing meticulous attention to detail

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong administration skills, Outlook and Microsoft packages are essential, e.g. Word, Excel

Knowledge of Xero and Web Expenses would be an advantage but full training will be given.

While not essential, knowledge of the drainage sector or similar industry would be advantageous.

Competitive compensation package, salary expectations up to £13,000 per annum based on experience (20 hours per week £12.50 per hour)
