Great News! We have a fantastic opportunity for a Laboratory Technician to join our Quality Department. We are looking for a dedicated individual to be a fundamental part of the Dr Oetker (UK) Ltd Laboratory Team, this is great opportunity for someone to learn new skills and develop themselves within a lab environment.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

A career at Dr Oetker will provide you with an opportunity to:

Provide technical and administrative support to ensure the business meets food safety, quality and regulatory requirements. This will include duties such as:

Carrying out routine analysis of raw materials and finished product, maintaining records of results and reporting of any non-conformances for trend analysis.

Assisting with recording and investigating out of specification and non-conforming products Recording results onto SAP QM system in a timely and accurate manner.

Carrying out routine environmental monitoring, ensuring results are communicated effectively to the relevant teams.

Participation in external proficiency testing schemes.

Inputting data and results into the SAP QM system and relevant databases in a timely manner.

Calibration and record keeping of relevant lab/factory equipment in line with set schedules.

Maintaining lab service contractor documentation in line with H&S requirements.

Responsible for carrying out regular stock takes and placing orders when required.

Ensuring Good Laboratory Practice is adhered to at all times.

WHAT YOU BRING

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent planning and organisational skills, good time management and the ability to work within a rapidly changing environment and remain calm under pressure. Being self-motivated and flexible, you will be able to effectively prioritise tasks and handle multiple projects at one time.

Having a keen eye for detail, you will have the ability to Interpret and evaluate results and follow procedures with a high level of accuracy.

Being a great team player, able to work on your own initiative, you will be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective relationships beyond your area of work.
