Job Description
DogWalk is seeking a passionate and reliable dog walker to join our dedicated team. We’re a fast-growing pet service company in Stratford upon Avon that values the joy and comfort dogs bring to our lives.
Compensation:
Pay is per job, based on the specifics of each assignment. Dog walkers can expect to earn between £13-£30 per hour, depending on the requirements of job (number of pets, specific care needs, etc.).
Responsibilities:
- Walk dogs on a regular schedule, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
- Provide timely feedback to pet owners regarding their dog’s behaviour, health, or any concerns during the walks.
- Administer any necessary medication as instructed by the dog owners during walk times.
- Be attentive to the unique needs of different breeds and temperaments of dogs.
- Handle dogs of varying sizes and temperaments with confidence and care.
- Ensure all equipment, like leashes and harnesses, is in good condition and appropriate for the specific dog.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with dogs, preferably in a professional walking or care setting.
- Knowledge of different dog breeds, understanding their unique behaviours and requirements during walks.
- Capability to manage dogs of diverse sizes and temperaments.
- Must have a dependable mode of transportation.
- Flexibility to occasionally accommodate short-notice walking requests.
- CPR and First Aid certification for pets is highly desired.
- DBS Check: Candidates should either possess a current DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or be open to obtaining one.
- Self-Employment: Applicants need to be self-employed and handle their tax responsibilities. This role is contract-based and does not come with typical full or part-time employment benefits.

While there might be occasional last-minute walking requests, we always prioritise your personal schedule and commitments, ensuring you’re not pressured into any task that doesn’t align with your availability.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: £13.00-£30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
