Job Description

DogWalk is seeking a passionate and reliable pet sitter to join our dedicated team. We’re a fast-growing pet service company in Stratford upon Avon that values the joy and comfort dogs bring to our lives.

Compensation:

Pay is per job, based on the specifics of each assignment. Pet sitters can expect to earn between £30-£60 per night, depending on the requirements of the job (number of pets, specific care needs, etc.).

Responsibilities:

• Provide in-home pet sitting services, ensuring the safety and comfort of pets at all times.
• Walk dogs on a regular schedule as needed.
• Feed and administer any necessary medication as instructed by the pet owners.
• Provide timely feedback to pet owners regarding their pet’s behaviour, health, or any concerns during the sitting period.
• Be attentive to the unique needs of different breeds and temperaments of pets.
• Handle pets of varying sizes and temperaments with confidence and care.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with pets, preferably in a professional care setting.
• Knowledge of different pet breeds, understanding their unique behaviours and requirements.
• Capability to manage pets of diverse sizes and temperaments.
• Flexibility to occasionally accommodate short-notice sitting requests.
• CPR and First Aid certification for pets is highly desired.
• Candidates should either possess a current DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or be open to obtaining one.
• Applicants need to be self-employed and handle their tax responsibilities. This role is contract-based.

You’ll have the chance to engage with various pet breeds, ensuring their well-being during the sitting period and forming lasting bonds with both the animals and their owners. While there might be occasional last-minute sitting requests, we always prioritise your personal schedule and commitments, ensuring you’re not pressured into any task that doesn’t align with your availability.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: £13.00-£30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
