– Physical stamina for standing, bending, and lifting heavy animals (up to 50 pounds)
– Attention to detail for precise grooming techniques
– Willingness to learn new grooming styles and techniques

We are looking for an experienced dog Groomer to join our team. As a dog Groomer, you will be responsible for providing grooming services to a variety of dogs, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Your expertise will help enhance the appearance and comfort of pets, making them feel their best. This position requires a love for animals, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Perform grooming services including bathing, clipping, and styling pets according to breed standards and client preferences.
  • Ensure the safety and comfort of all animals during grooming sessions.
  • Conduct thorough examinations of pets to identify any health issues or concerns that may require veterinary attention.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grooming area, including tools and equipment.
  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pet’s grooming needs and aftercare.
  • Handle pets safely and compassionately, especially those that may be anxious or difficult to manage.

Skills

  • Previous experience as a dog Groomer is essential
  • Knowledge of different breeds and their specific grooming requirements
  • Strong animal handling skills and ability to work with dogs of all sizes and temperaments
  • Strong knowledge of animal care practices and grooming techniques.
  • Excellent customer service skills to build rapport with pet owners and ensure satisfaction.
